How is light hashish made and what are the differences with regular hashish

How did you do it and what is light hashish.

HERE'S HOW LEGAL HASHISH IS PRODUCED AND HOW IT DIFFERS FROM CLASSIC SMUGGLED HASHISH.

CBD hashish is one of the most famous extracts from legal marijuana flowers, as well as one of the most purchased (and talked about) items online in recent years.

Are you also curious about the topic? Maybe you want to know how legal hashish is made and what its effects are?

Then you are in the right place.

Today we will talk to you specifically about hashish produced from legal hemp, how it is made, and how it differs from classic hashish. By the end of the article, you will know everything (absolutely everything!) about this product and its particularities.

What is light hashish and how is it produced?

Hashish, also known as "smoke," is the resin extracted from marijuana flowers using various methods. Specifically, it is the resin produced by cannabis trichomes, collected and then left to mature for a certain period of time. Its appearance is generally that of a small block or a small dark, brown, or greenish sphere, more or less malleable to the touch depending on the variety.

In the case of traditional hashish, this product is collected from the tops of cannabis plants. It therefore contains cannabinoids such as THC, CBD, and many others.

Legal hashish, on the other hand, contains only CBD (the beneficial and non-psychoactive cannabinoid) and is free of all other substances.

The origin of this difference lies in the production methods: CBD hashish is a compound that mimics the appearance of classic hashish. It is produced by processing plant substances, to which pure CBD crystals are then added.

This means that CBD Hash is not produced from hemp, since the traditional procedure is not allowed in Italy, but it still contains high concentrations of CBD thanks to the skillful addition of cannabidiol crystals.

Classic hashish, that is, the resinous compound derived from cannabis, is instead produced in the following ways:

  • Dry: in this case, cannabis plants are harvested, dried, and shaken/rubbed on a fine mesh sieve to collect the powdery resin that falls from the plant.
  • Hand-rubbed hashish: a technique widely practiced in countries such as India, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, it consists of collecting resin from fresh, unharvested, and therefore still living cannabis plants. To do this, hashish producers stretch out their arms and walk through fields of cannabis plants (whose flowers must be ripe) to collect the sticky resin on their skin. At the end of the collection, the resin is shaped into numerous spheres and left to mature. In the case of charas (Indian hand-collected hashish), maturation can last several years.
  • Extraction with machines like Pollinator®, Ice-o-lator®, or Bubbleator®: in this case, hashish is extracted using water and then sieved several times to obtain a high-quality product.

As you can imagine, classic hashish is a psychoactive substance just like cannabis: the resin is rich in cannabinoids, including THC, which influences our psyche and perception of reality. In contrast, light hashish is free of THC and has no psychoactive effect.

Effects of legal hashish and illegal hashish: all the differences.

CBD hashish is a plant-based product with the addition of CBD crystals, so its effects are strictly due to cannabidiol. Here are the effects we are talking about:

  • relaxing (muscle level)
  • anti-inflammatory
  • pain-relieving
  • anticonvulsant
  • antiemetic
  • immunomodulator
  • antioxidant
  • hypotensive
  • antispasmodic

CBD-based products (such as light cannabis flowers, CBD oil, and legal hashish) are in no way considered medicines, but research is strongly focused on the benefits of cannabidiol for humans.

Hashish with a high THC content, on the other hand, can trigger the same effects as marijuana consumption, including:

  • euphoria
  • relaxation
  • increased creativity and concentration
  • slowed movements and reflexes
  • memory alteration
  • mood swings
  • paranoia
  • alteration of cognitive and motor abilities
  • anxiety
  • depressive symptoms
  • apathy
  • sudden and uncontrollable hunger (the so-called "munchies")

And many more. In addition, hashish causes habituation and its long-term use can lead to psychological dependence, psychosis/schizophrenia in predisposed individuals, as well as constant and pathological apathy.

                                In summary…

What are the differences between light hashish and hashish produced from cannabis flowers?

Now that you know how Classic hashish is produced and what its effects are, we want to briefly summarize the differences between this product and the classic "smoke" sold illegally.

Light HashishClassic Hashish
Legal
Not a drug
Plant material with added CBD crystals
